Lontek Radiator Installation
Lontek Radiator Installation For design, installation, operation and maintenance of the heating systems, comply with the regulations in force.
For radiator installation, please bear in mind that:
1. The domestic radiators can be used in hot water and steam systems (maximum temperature of 120°C);
2. The radiators must be installed in a way that guarantees the following minimum distances:
12cm from the door
2-5cm from the wall behind
10 cm from any recess or shelf;
3. If the wall behind is not sufficiently insulated, please provide additional insulation to limit loss of heat to the outside as much as possible;
4. Each radiator must be equipped with an air-bleed valve, and the automatic type is better (especially if the radiator has to be isolated from the system);
5. The pH value of the water must be between 7 and 8 and the water must not corrosive to metals in general;
6. The UNI CTI 8065/89 regulation -Treatment of water in heating systems for civil use - sets out and de_nes the chemical and chemical-physical properties that the water used in heating systems for civil use must have, in particular “... in order to optimize performance and safety, to protect them over time, to guarantee lasting normal operation also for auxiliary equipment, and to minimize the energy consumption, thus supplementing the laws and regulations in force;....”. The observance of this regulation is a legal obligation (law 5/3/90 no. 46, Presidential Decree 28/8/93 no. 412 and subsequent amendments). Therefore, carry out process in this manner using suitable specific products such as, for example, CILLIT HS 23 Combi or SENTINEL X100.
When using the radiator, keep the following in mind
1. Never use abrasive products to clean the surfaces;
2. Do not use humidifiers made from porous material such as terracotta;
3. Avoid isolating the radiator from the system by completely closing the valve;
4. In the event that it becomes necessary to bleed the radiator too often, as this is an indicator of malfunctions in the heating system, consult a reliable technician or the Lontek office directly.
5. Aluminum radiators should avoid direct contact with the copper pieces. Because the two materials have different potential difference will result in electrochemical corrosion. So temperature control valves and other valves, which are made of copper, should deal with anti-corrosion insulation in the pipeline joints to avoid electrochemical corrosion.
